Don't Tell Anyone

Adam Sandler is back. One would think he already had all the genres covered: golf, football, single parenting, Satanism, wedding singers, foreign maids, amnesia, prison, time-manipulation, and now… gay marriage. Well, sort of.

Along with Kevin James of King of Queens fame, Chuck and Larry is a comedy about two heterosexual firefighters faking a same-sex domestic partnership in an attempt to bypass some civic redtape. You should be able to imagine the ton of gags that ensue.

It’s a barrel of laughs. Definitely one of the better Sandler movies.

Rats!

The Android ended his day at work last night with a movie. There were still two free tickets left, so the peeps at O expended them on the latest Pixar feature animation, Ratatouille. Not to give away too much, it’s essentially about a rat who loves to cook.

Once again, Pixar did not fail to impress. The Android went in with low expectations, yet he came out 110% entertained. Simple story, excellent animation, earnest delivery. Way better than the star-studded voice-talent bullshit that Dreamworks always seem to come out with.

Ratatouille is definitely a recommended watch.

LSD

Finally caught Satoshi Kon’s Paprika at Cathay’s The Picturehouse along with the usual suspects.

The animated movie was visually bizarre in an extremely beautiful way. Shan and The Android reckon Satoshi was probably smoking some of them cheap-ass Jamaican shit or perhaps licking window paint when directing this anime. Try not to question logic or delve into the plot too much and you’ll be sure to enjoy this flick. Just imagine you’re… dreaming.

Speaking of dreaming, Jerry and Ah Ly dozed off within the first 15 minutes of the movie. Maybe they were smoking some of them cheap-ass Jamaican shit. BWA-HAHAHAHA!!!
