To cater to newbies joining Assault for the first time, I have developed a comprehensive site for your reference. League details and prescribed deck listings will all be consolidated here.
The deck listings, however, will require a little more time before it will be completely updated. Hope you peeps can be patient and understand that it’s a HECKUVALOT of work.
To those of you who are unfamiliar with Assault, it is a Closed Tournament for The Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game. It was developed within our little card-playing community in 2004 and based on a point scoring league system. We hope to kick off the event this coming August. So until then, interested parties may still register.

Ok guys… good news. Managed to dig up the Orc Troopers. Also, this is how we can strengthen your discarder deck. If we are getting it to a 40-40 deck, here are the changes:
Fellowship – add 4 ‘Nobody Tosses a Dwarf’. Simply put, it will boost the discarding mechs.
Ok, here is the confusing bit with lots of explanations… bear with me.
Take out the Band of the Eye… one card will do nothing… it only discards one card IF he wins and furthermore, you need to remove 2 twilight. Also, take out one or two ‘His Cruelty and Malice’. Being a condition, and that you have to pay a cost (exertion) for effect, if you have two out, you will still need to exert a separate time for each effect which is the same as having one condition out. Furthermore, it is in regroup phase. By that time, your orcs would either have lost or already exerted for other effects.
So that leaves us with 34 or 33 cards and 6 or 7 to add:
2 Orc Troopers
2 or 3 Desparate Defence of the Ring
1 more Desperate Measures and
EITHER
Add 1 Verily I Come (Game Text: Condition. To play, exert a Sauron Orc. Plays on RingBearer. Each time Free Peoples player draws a card (or takes a card into hand) during Fellwoship Phase, add a burden). This card is a bonus burden adding for Desperate Measures.
OR
Add 1 more Tower Lieuetenant for more minions to exert. Cost is same as Band, but if by some miracle he wins, then he discards 2 cards.
All cards I currently have. Desperate Defense of the Ring is a MUST!!! Discard 3 cards OR add burden… confirm win win situation!!! Play Desperate Defense of the Ring AND Thin and Stretched, confirm add burden!!! Then you can Desperate Measures the bugger!!! Ok, let me know what you think!

Hmmm… been thinking about it. Maybe Curly did not fare too well with the Uruk discarder coz there were too many events choking his hand? Do you think that will happen if we tweak the Red Dwarf 40-40?
Might I suggest just replacing 2 His Cruelty and Malice with 2 Desperate Defense of the Ring? Coz DDotR and TaS combo is truly the undisputed power combo!

Looks like Wingey is having a field day with this Red Dwarf deck. Agreeing with Darren on the choice of minions. Having Nobody Tosses A Dwarf is definitely good. Am wondering whether adding it will delay the surfacing of Thin and Stretched. Think maybe should give that baby a try on both possible configurations.
The concern with TaS not surfacing fast is this…
SOMEBODY (not mentioning names)… SOMEBODY (again not saying who)… has probably already devised a strategy against the Red Dwarf, by double – triple – quadruple moving.
I can volunteer Blade Tip to try this sucker out.
