Food

The Android loves his new job and his new colleagues. He’s surrounded by fanboys (and girls), toy-collectors, music lovers and best of all… foodies! And so the Tribal foodies, being the foodies that they are, decided to head down to Dan Ryan’s yesterday for lunch.

Ciaran, Steve, Justin and The Android ordered half a slab of Baby Back Ribs each, Jeff had a huge burger and the rest took the easy way out and ordered the set lunch. A must-try is their New England Clam Chowder. Do not be deceived by the small serving as it is actually quite thick with chunks of gooey goodness. The ribs are as finger-lickin’ good as ever, though The Android should have ordered the FULL slab.

Movies
Hulk Smash!

Watched this fanboy flick with the Tribal peeps last night, and the 13 of us took out an entire row at GV Plaza.

Edward Norton is a dead ringer for Bryan Hitch’s frail and timid Bruce Banner in The Ultimates, but other than that, The Android feels that the actor’s talents are kinda wasted in this movie. Nonetheless, this is one heckuva revamp from Lee Ang’s 2003 emo flop, Hulk.

Be sure to look out for lots of references to the TV series starring Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. Ah… those were the cheesy days.

Comic fanboys might also realise what the desperate good people at Marvel are doing. “We’re putting a team together”, they say.

Nuff said!

Sports

The Android may have missed this game due to overtime at work, yet he was all smiles as the “live” scores rolled in via SMS, courtesy of Wingfoot.

With Darren Lockyer back in the halves and controlling the game, The Queensland Maroons annihilated NSW 30-0 in a power-packed 80-minute game. Now that’s vengeance for you!

GO DA MAROONS!!!
