Food

Headed down to Shinryoku Yakitori (8 Purvis Street) for dinner with Jerry and Shan yesterday. We were only 3 out of the 6 people who were supposed to show up, but that is another story altogether.

Shinryoku serves up a pretty decent ala carte, all-you-can-eat, Japanese yakitori menu for S$38++ from Mondays to Thursdays. The place was relatively packed last night given that it was a Thursday. We wasted no time and placed our orders.

So what’s good here? The bacon-wrapped asparagus, straw mushrooms and prawns are definitely worth your while, as the bacon really gives you a bang for your buck. For some great BBQ flavour, you have to try their miso cod and surume squid. If you like crispy stuff, the deep fried chicken skins are strongly recommended. Chicken spare-part lovers will be pleased to know that they serve chicken liver, heart and gizzard off the grill. Be sure to also order some of them cold and crunchy vegetable sticks to douse the BBQ flames within you. Last but not least, sink your teeth into their oyster tempura, which is simply… bursting with goodness.

Those who didn’t show up don’t know what they were missing.

Rage

To update those who don’t already know, The Android’s jurassic IXUS 400 died again. Its time of demise was exceptional as well, choosing to malfunction on the day The Android needed to take shots of Baby Ethan. Naturally, The Android went on his trip to Hong Kong in November without a camera.

So here’s the dilemma now: Send the bugger in for repairs again? Or just fuck it and buy a new camera already?

Updates

Greetings and salutations once again, peeps.

Yes, yes, The Android has finally succumbed to the irresistable powers of Wordpress and CSS. No more tedious updating of the site in Flash. Post entries on The Android’s trip to Hong Kong and pictures of Darren’s kid will be up in due time. Meanwhile, The Android will be working on the layout whenever he has time to spare.

So piss off… The Android is changing.
